 EVERY YOUNG ADULT A MILLIONAIRE!
 - Author Rich Patenaude simultaneously launches "The Student Millionaire" and website

“This Christmas season, give the gift that lasts a lifetime,” says Rich Patenaude. “Give a young adult you know the recipe to become a millionaire.
If a young adult today wants to become a millionaire but doesn’t know where to begin, The Student Millionaire is the place to start,” says Patenaude. “The recipe for becoming a millionaire from scratch is the same for everyone,” says Patenaude. “The path may be different, but the principles are the same.”
“Our motto is 'Every Young Adult a Millionaire',” says Patenaude. “We just need to show our young people the way.”
“Whether it’s Madam C.J. Walker or Oprah, the principles for achieving wealth and success are the same,” says Patenaude. “These principles are not rocket science. Some of them have been around for a very long time. They are just not taught in our schools.” says Patenaude. “The school system does its best to prepare us for jobs and careers in the marketplace. But schools do not teach us that expecting to be a Millionaire is as normal as expecting to graduate from High School,” says Patenaude
The Student Millionaire is a guide for young adults to find their path to their first million dollars. Rich Patenaude teaches young adults how these principles work together to bring about a million-dollar goal. Patenaude’s wealth blog for young adults along with the book appear on The Student Millionaire website at www.TheStudentMillionaire.com or get your copy on Amazon:Student Millionaire : How to make serious cash and leave university or college debt free and RICH!

Mr. Patenaude is available for interviews and appearances and can be reached at 240-731-5900.

Saturday, December 14, 11:00 to 1:00 PM a celebration of life ceremony will take place at Boys and Girls High School, 1700 Fulton Street, in the Bedford Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, New York City. Republic of South Africa Consul General George Monyemangene will address the audience. Immediately following the indoor celebration New York City Public Advocate elect Letitia “Tish” James will lead a pedestrian/motorcar procession thru the community. This march will meet a South African community vigil at the school playground, near M.S. 113, DeKalb Avenue at Carlton, in the Fort Greene section of the borough.
The People of Brooklyn fondly remember Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela. The international icon of peace and justice visited the borough on June 21, 1990 (just months after his release from Robben Island) during his eight city USA tour. NYPD estimated 100,000 Brooklynites greeted the president’s motorcade as it passed thru the neighborhoods of East New York, Fort Greene; his first official stop on this tour was at Boys and Girls High School where he addressed New Yorkers.
Al Sharpton's National Action Network, labor union SEIU, AFL/CIO Transport Workers Union Local 100, Madiba Restaurant, Roots Revisited/Kwanzaa Collective, Sistas’ Place/December 12 Movement, Lions Brooklyn Remsen Brownsville Club, and Central Brooklyn Jazz Consortium/CBJC are some of the organizations behind this event. City-wide elected officials, faith based, and community leaders are expected to be among the people attending.

Today, International Human Rights Day, I Support Colombia's Outcry for Peace.

Today on International Human Rights Day, thousands of Colombians will take to the streets in support of the ongoing peace process. Bringing together the voices of victims of violence, women, trade unionists, artists, campesinos, students, intellectuals, indigenous and Afro-descendants, this mobilization aims to promote a peace process that includes a social and human rights agenda.
Colombians will express their support for peace and their continued outrage over the human costs of the war:  forced displacements, widespread massacres, threats against unionists and human rights activists, and the exclusion of indigenous and Afro-descendant communities. It’s a demonstration of hope, with Colombians coming together with the dream of creating a lasting peace.

Even with the ongoing peace process, there still is a human rights crisis in Colombia. Displacement continues, with 2,700 people forced from their homes last month just in Buenaventura. Human rights defenders, journalists and union members continue to be harassed and threatened for the work they do. Land restitution under the Victims’ Law continues at a snail’s pace and is jeopardized by the presence of paramilitary successor groups that threaten the safe return of communities.

Here at the LAWG, we believe that in order to build a just and lasting peace, the underlying human rights, economic and social aspects of the conflict must be addressed. This means addressing human rights violations by all parties to the conflict and creating space for civil society participation in the peace process and its implementation. It means there must be truth, and there must be justice.

There’s a long road ahead, but it’s time to say yes to peace.

Thanks for all you do,

Lisa and Omar
The LAWG Colombia Team
