2013 SMALL BUSINESS GRANTS HELPING AFRICAN AMERICAN ENTREPRENEURS REACH THEIR BUSINESS GOALS
-- Pepsi, Miller Coors, Verizon, Xerox, Coca-Cola and even Bill Gates himself are all giving away thousands of dollars this year in small business grants to needy entrepreneurs. --
These entrepreneurs earned a total of $150,000 in capital for their businesses from a MillerCoors business plan competition.
Nationwide (BlackNews.com) -- MillerCoors has awarded more than $1.5 million in business grants to emerging minority businesses since 1999, targeting urban entrepreneurs ages 21-35. Pepsi, Verizon, and even Bill Gates himself are doing the same - that is, giving away free money to aspiring and existing business owners who need assistance.
If you own a business and have less than 100 employees, you may qualify for such small business grants. While there are many scams on the internet, there are also many real and legit opportunities from major companies such as Pepsi, Verizon, and many more.
How To Find Legit Opportunities:
Those interested in applying for business grants should place inquiries to their local councilman's office, mayor's office, and governor's office. The state of Connecticut, for instance, is giving away more than $60 million dollars this year in grants and forgivable loans. You can also visit your local public library to check out related directories, and inquire to major corporations that are headquartered in their state. Searching on the Internet with caution is also recommended.
Finally, visit www.BusinessGrants.org - a helpful web site that lists hundreds of opportunities from corporations and foundation. The site also teaches entrepreneurs how to apply for grants, where to find them, and what not to do. The site also features a listing of relevant resources, experts, and recent news and commentary that the media has published about business grants.
