NEW PANTHERS RALLY WITH P.O.P. AND OTHERS FOR TREYVON
SPREAD BOUNTY IN NEWARK SATURDAY!
On Saturday, March 31st, the New Black Panther Party will march and rally with the People's Organization for Progress and others in a march and rally in solidarity with Treyvon Martin, the 17 year old from Florida who was senselessly gunned down by a self-appointed community watchman in Sanford, Florida several weeks ago.
Participants will assemble at the Lincoln Monument, Springfield Av. and West Market St. in Newark at 11:30pm and then march downtown Newark.
The Panthers will be broadly distributing their bounty flyers calling for the capture of  George Zimmerman, the shooter who was never even charged or taken into custody after shooting Martin in the chest at point blank range.
Ironically, the Panthers just held a rally a few weeks ago blasting attempts by the NJ Attorney General to have the current $1 mil bounty on Assata Shakur to be raised to $5 mil!
"What's good for over here is good for over there," said an angry Zayid Muhammad, the area's Party leader.
"If it's alright for the state to put prices on the head of our freedom fighters like Assata, then it's equally alright for the people to put a price on the head of someone who kills one of our children and who is then protected by the state."
Last week, the Party issued a $10,000 bounty for Zimmerman's capture and being taken into custody.
The march is also apart of the Daily People's Protest Campaign for Jobs, Peace, Equality and Justice initiated by P.O.P.  It will mark day 279, or the 279th consecutive day of protest of the Daily Campaign. The Campaign boasts the endorsement of 172 participating organizations. The New Black Panther Party was one of the first national organization to endorse the Daily Campaign.Participants vow to carry on the daily protests for 381 consecutive days in honor of the epic Montgomery Bus Boycott.

NEW BRUNSWICK HODDIE VIGIL FOR BARRY DELOATCH! TREYVON MARTIN!
On Sunday, April 1st, area New Black Panther leader Zayid Muhammad will join the Direct Action Coalition, Occupy New Brunswick and others for a vigil for Barry Deloatch who was wrongly gunned down by New Brunswick police several months ago.
The vigil will take place at Throop Avenue and Handy Street, New Brunswick, where Deloatch was killed, at 6pm.
Deloatch, who was unarmed and who had commited no crimes, was chased off of his porch into a back alley and shot to death by two New Brunswick police officers. His killing unleashed an enormous community furor marked by legions of angry New Brunswick residents marching for everyday for several weeks. Protestors took over city council meetings and did other actions.
On October 22nd, protestors organized a major protest day as a part of the National Day of Action Against Police Brutality around the case.
There have been calls to get the Justice Department to take over if the Middlesex County prosecutor fails to prosecute the officers involved.
"And we pray that the community finally gets some sort of justice," said Tormel Pittman of the Direct Action Coalition.
In wake of the recent killing of Treyvon Martin in Florida, many participants are expected to be dressed in 'hoodies'.
For more information on the vigil, please call 732 619 9619…
